LOS ANGELES - Nickelodeon has inked a deal with actor-singer Chris Brown for an unscripted pilot revolving around his backup dancers. The half-hour project follows 11-year-old Scooter and 9-year-old Miles as they tour with Brown, who also will appear on-camera.
The airdate for the pilot, which will air as a special on Nickelodeon, has not been determined.
This marks Brown's first foray into producing and is his first television deal.
He recently released his sophomore album, Exclusive. His first album, Chris Brown, earned him two Grammy nominations.
As an actor, Brown made his feature debut in Stomp the Yard and next appears on the big screen in This Christmas, which opens in the US this week. Other credits include Fox's The O.C.
