As previously rumoured in TimeOut, Canadian rockers Nickelback have confirmed a one-off show at Vector Arena on November 7.
The band, led by singer and guitarist Chad Kroeger, last played here when they opened for the Rolling Stones at Western Springs in 2006. Nickelback are currently on a world tour in support of their sixth album, Dark Horse, which was released late last year. Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster on July 22.
Meanwhile, Shihad hit the road in October - or should that be Rocktober? - with Australian punk rockers the Living End on the Legal Tender Tour celebrating the Rock radio station's 18th birthday.
Joining them will be AC/DC sound-a-likes Airbourne and local rock'n'roll louts Luger Boa on the nationwide jaunt which starts in Dunedin on October 1.
Stops along the way include Napier's Pettigrew Green (Oct 5); Auckland's Logan Campbell Centre (Oct 7); Hamilton's Waikato Stadium (Oct 9); and New Plymouth's TSB Stadium (Oct 10).
