Gus Fisher Gallery curator Andrew Clifford has been appointed director of Lopdell House Gallery, taking up his appointment this week. He will lead the Lopdell team, now based in New Lynn, while the 1930 Titirangi building is upgraded and earthquake-strengthened.
Lopdell House will reopen to the public next August.
Clifford has worked at Gus Fisher since 2007. He is an arts writer for publications such as Art New Zealand, the Listener, Art Asia Pacific and Art & Australia. He replaces former Lopdell House director Lesley Smith, who joined the gallery in 2003.
