Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) pokes fun at the inscription, which says only one who's worthy can pick up the hammer.
So Stark aka Iron Man aka Robert Downey Jr aka world's highest paid actor, stands up to give it a whirl, while Thor (Aussie Chris Hemsworth) looks on, bemused.
After failing with his mortal strength, Stark tries again with his Iron Man arm, then again with the help of War Machine (Don Cheadle)
Captain America (Chris Evans) gives it a shot but Bruce Banner aka The Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and former SHIELD agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) prefer just to observe.
"You're all not worthy," Thor says, to laughter from the group, easily picking up and flipping the hammer.
Then supervillain Ultron (voiced by James Spader) turns up, a real killjoy.
"How could you be worthy?" he says, staggering toward The Avengers.
"You're all puppets, tangled in strings."

After that, the rest of the previously leaked trailer plays out, complete with that creepy, child-like rendition of I've Got No Strings from Pinocchio and glimpses of new characters Quicksilver (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).
The trailer aired with TV series Agents Of Shield, which was meant to premiere the full trailer before it was leaked.
