Who will take out competition? And who will be this year's Dancing Potato? We rank the Dancing with the Stars contenders in order of their winning potential.
Teuila Blakely - actress
We've seen Teuila cut shapes on the D-floor before so we know this girl can dance. Plus, she's a regular at Ponsonby's Xtend Barre studio, which specialises in dance-inspired fitness classes. She's recently been on a major fitness kick so she's already ahead of the game. A hot favourite for the win.
Yoga instructor Chrystal is another strong contender, with fitness and flexibility on her side. She also showcased a particularly fetching bum dance on The Bachelor, which is just a taste of the magic to come. We suspect Chrystal's biggest challenge won't be on the dance floor but rather, wooing the public. She earned a reputation for being blunt on The Bach and not everyone's a fan.
Shane Cameron - heavyweight boxer
We're picking Shane Cameron as the dark horse of the competition. Boxing is all about footwork so he's got years of experience on his side. But does he have rhythm? That's the unknown quantity. He's also the most likely to bust out some impressive power lifts with his partner Nerrida.
Ben Barrington - actor
Another contender with strength on his side, Ben Barrington is another one to watch. The Almighty Johnson's actor is a yoga devotee so has the flexibility required to pull out some fancy footwork. Always a charmer, he'll be quick to win over judge Candy Lane with that cheeky twinkle in his eye.
Siobhan Marshall - actress
She's got a proven track record as an actor and singer - but is Siobhan a triple threat? There's no sign of formal dance training on her CV but we suspect she's probably got a few tricks up her sleeve. At least she can act like she knows what she's doing. Surely, that's half the battle?
Colin Mathura-Jeffree - former male model and host of NZ's Next Top Model
As a regular on Auckland's social scene, Colin can often be found striking a pose on the dance floor. But whether he's got the moves to execute a full routine remains to be seen. This self-confessed magpie loves all things sparkly and we're not convinced he'll maintain focus with all those sequins spinning around.
Maz Quinn - pro-surfer
He's got balance and agility on his side - but will he manhandle his partner like a surfboard? Maz does his best work shirtless and we're not convinced he'll flourish under the formal constricts of ballroom dancing. Just seeing him in a suit looks uncomfortable.
Simon Barnett - radio host and former TV host
Simon Barnett's made a career out of telling dad jokes and we can't help but think he'll bust out some daggy dad moves on the dance floor. He's not afraid to make a fool of himself but past experience has taught us jokers don't get far in this competition.
Pam Corkery - former politician and broadcaster
Experience has also taught us that politicians don't fare well in this contest. Blame Rodney 'Dancing Potato' Hide. Although there's less chance of Pam dropping her partner, we're still not convinced she's got the elegance to glide her way to glory. But we look forward to the outburst if the judges say something she doesn't like.
Jay-Jay Harvey - radio host
By Jay-Jay's own admission, this is going to be a tough road for the radio host. She recently posted on Facebook that "I didn't inherit my Mum's dancing genes. Dammit!" A backstage video also revealed her trying to twerk with partner Enrique Johns. Based on that performance, we don't have high hopes - but we're happy to be proved wrong.
