KEY POINTS:
European dance acts New Young Pony Club, M.A.N.D.Y., and DJ T have been added to the line up for New Year's Eve music festival Rhythm & Vines.
Rapper Scribe, songstress Hollie Smith and Kiwi music icon Don McGlashan have also been revealed as performers for this year's festival at Waiohika Estate in Gisborne.
With organisers opening up the line up to genres other than the usual dance, dub and house music on offer, numbers are expected to top the 16,000 who attended last year's event.
Attendance at the 24-hour music festival has mushroomed over the past several years, from 1,500 people at the first event in 2003.
Tickets to the festival are now on sale through Ticketmaster.
