IN THE dark ages, also known as 2003, an unusual show debuted on our screens, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
Five gay guys went around giving clueless straight men makeovers in every aspect of their lives, from their wardrobes to their homes to matching them with the perfect product for their hair texture. It was cartoony and silly but a lot of fun. It also made a star out of Carson Kressley.
It ran until 2007 and was part of the pop culture movement that normalised gay culture for mainstream audiences. reports news.com.au.
Earlier this year, a decade since the tszujing stopped, Netflix announced it was bringing back the Queer Eye guys, presumably for all those lumbersexual guys who need to expand their wardrobe palette beyond red, blue and grey.
