Fans, cast and crew are mourning the cancellation of Netflix series Everything Sucks! after just one season.
The show, which was drenched in '90s nostalgia and often compared to cult hit Freaks and Geeks, has been axed, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.
That's despite the show - which followed a group of teens making a movie in the fictional Boring High School - receiving praise by critics for its brand of throwback comedy.
It has a 69 per cent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and 62 per cent on Metacritic, where it had reviewers calling it "grounded ... sweet and genuine".
"It's funny, if not clamorously so; superbly acted, by a bunch of people you never heard of; and good-hearted, without being Hallmark-ish," said Reason.com's Glenn Garvin.
