Kiwi father and son Neil and Liam Finn have just announced their first album together is set to release in August.
They've also released their new lead single from the album, titled Back to Life, a song about the "magic that happens" when people get together to sing and reminisce - "love's triumphant ability to transcend our physical world".
The album, Lightsleeper, was largely recorded in Neil Finn's Auckland studio, and packs in the usual tricks and sensibilities the Finn family is known for, mixing Liam's lo-fi atmospherics with Neil's iconic pop talents.
Making the album was a family affair through and through. Sharon Finn - Neil's wife and Liam's mother - plays bass on two of the songs, Elroy Finn - Liam's brother - plays drums on seven songs; and good friend Connan Mockasin appears on four tracks.
