Long-running NCIS star Pauley Perrette exited the show after 15 seasons last week — and now she's alluding to some shady circumstances behind her decision to leave.
Perrette played Abby Sciuto on the crime procedural until, in last week's episode, her beloved character bid adieu to the NCIS team.
Over the weekend, Perrette, mysteriously tweeted: "I refused to go low, that's why I've never told publicly what happened," seemingly in reference to leaving the show.
She continued, questioning whether she should stay silent about what she calls "crime." "Maybe I'm wrong for not 'spilling the beans' Telling the story, THE TRUTH. I feel I have to protect my crew, jobs and so many people. But at what cost? I.don't know. Just know, I'm trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn't the right thing about crime. I'm … Just… ?"
Perrette's tweets grew more sinister as she alleged a conspiracy to keep her silent, and false stories to damage her reputation.
"There is a "machine' keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me. A very rich, very powerful publicity "machine". No morals, no obligation to truth, and I'm just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew. Trying to remain calm. He did it."
