It's not just online trolls who are inspiring Nazanin Khanjani in her entry into the boxing ring - world heavyweight title contender Joseph Parker is also in her corner.
Known as "Naz" to viewers of series two of The Bachelor NZ - where she proved a polarising presence - the 25-year-old will make her boxing debut on the undercard to Parker's clash with Solomon Haumono in Christchurch on July 21.
And if she proves to be as hard-hitting in the ring as she was in her reality TV debut, her opponent - which the Herald on Sunday can reveal will be either Bella Henry, the daughter of broadcaster Paul Henry, or DJ Lily Taurau from Mai FM - will be in for a tough night.
"I really do look up to Joseph Parker, he's a great fighter," Khanjani told the Herald on Sunday.
"I've got a huge support team. I've got Craig Stanaway from Duco and his team backing me up and showing me a lot of support, as well as Butter Bean and Joseph Parker himself, who have called me recently and given me encouraging words."
