KEY POINTS:
Actress Naomi Watts and her long-term partner Liev Schreiber have named their newborn son Samuel Kai.
The 40-year-old actress - who welcomed the baby, who weighed a healthy 7lb 13oz, into the world on Saturday - chose the name with the help of her husband Liev Schreiber, the couple's representative revealed.
The spokesman added: "Both mom and baby are doing great."
Naomi and Liev already have 16-month-old son Alexander together.
The couple started dating after meeting and falling for each other on the set of 2006 film The Painted Veil.
Motherhood seems to agree with the Australian actress, who excitedly said of her eldest child: "He's turning pages in the book. He's crawling and standing up. He can wave. I read 'Goodnight Moon' to him every night."
Earlier this year, Naomi revealed she regretted not starting a family sooner.
The 40-year-old star said: "Honestly, have a baby. It's the best! I left it too late. I'd love to have one more. I'd love to have two more. Or three!"
