The social media post comes hours after it was revealed that Oscar-nominated film star Naomi signed on to play 'a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.'
According to Variety, Kingsman co-writer Jane Goldman has penned the HBO pilot, co-creating the project with George himself, whose book series is called A Song Of Ice And Fire.
The prequel is expected to follow the Age Of Heroes' disintegration into a dire era for Westeros, the fictional land in which George's characters reside.
All of the five Game Of Thrones-related projects currently percolating at HBO are prequel series, according to George, who has precluded any return appearances by Game Of Thrones cast members.
Though he and Jane came up with the story that stars Naomi, Jane put together the actual teleplay by herself and is slated to serve as the solo showrunner.
Naomi is no stranger to the world of sci-fi and fantasy, having led the cast of the 2005 King Kong remake helmed by Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson.
It just so happens that George is frequently compared to The Lord Of The Rings' author J.R.R. Tolkien, for whom he has often expressed great respect.
Naomi is also not new to prestige TV, starring on last year's revival of Twin Peaks, helmed by David Lynch, who directed her star-making turn in Mulholland Drive.
She is also playing former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson in the upcoming Showtime miniseries The Loudest Voice In The Room, which stars Russell Crowe as the late founder of Fox News, Roger Ailes.
It just so happens that Naomi's old pal Nicole Kidman is also playing Gretchen in a Jay Roach movie about Roger's sexual misconduct scandals.
