Friday night drinks? Meet me at:
The Corner Store or a Japanese bar for sake. La Zeppa is great too, they have amazing deep-fried goat's cheese balls.
Where I'll be wearing my new:
Vintage jacket from The Bread and Butter Letter. I'm in love with that shop and have to walk past it every day on my way to work, so it's hard not to go in.
And this weekend I'm planning on:
It's my boyfriend's birthday so we'll be celebrating. He's DJing at 1885 in Britomart, so come party.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe:
Cafe 23 on Mt Eden Rd does really nice salads. And I'm not just talking about lettuce with a bit of tomato, I mean really good wholesome salads.
Saturday evening if my dreams came true there would be a gig by:
Patti Smith. I would love it if she came to New Zealand to play at The Powerstation.
But if there's nothing else doing I'll probably just:
Anything can happen when nothing is planned. I could end up at an amazing gig or show or be at home enjoying the fact I don't have to do anything.
On my stereo/headphones right now is:
I can't stop listening to Lykke Li's album Wounded Rhymes. It's really good.
The books I can't put down are:
Wasted by Mark Johnson and Just Kids by Patti Smith.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for:
Modern Family. I love that show.
The movie I've been dying to see:
The King's Speech and Black Swan. There was so much hype around them that I felt like I owed it to myself to wait until they came out on DVD so I can have a lazy movie night at home.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from:
Pane e Vino Italian or Japanese.
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be:
The Grove. Or more Japanese, I would love a lifetime supply of teriyaki tofu and fried cheese.
