My Big Week: Ryan O'Kane

Friday Night Drinks? Meet Me At: No, bring back the house party, I say. "Town" is waaay overrated these days.

Where I'll be wearing my new: Fleetwood Mac T shirt I just picked up in LA (name-dropper) for a steal! Ten bucks!

And this weekend I'm planning on: Well, honestly, me and a few friends are going to share a cab fare, and go have a few drinks in Hollywood at some hotel. It sounds cool... and probably will be.

But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe: I don't drink coffee, so any place that does a good hot chocolate.

Saturday evening. If my dreams come true there would be a gig by: John Farnham, at the height of his vocal ability. His version with Queen doing We Will Rock You.

But if there's nothing else I will probably just: Sit in the sun.

On my stereo/headphones right now is: Hall & Oates, I Can't Go For That.

The books I can't put down are: David Gemmel's Troy series. Seriously good reading! A mix of fact, myth and his own spin on the sacking of Troy. Brilliant.

The TV show I take the hook off for: I have a few, but at the moment, Battlestar Galactica, The IT Crowd, Misfits, Modern Family, and any form of Star Trek.

The movie I've been dying to see: Moon, with Sam Rockwell. I have it at home in Melbourne, but I've just not found the right night.

A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from: Well, any Indian is good, especially with some roti!

Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be: Planet Spice in Wellington! Or, Pumpernickels if I was in Dunedin!
