Seven days in the life of the actor.
Friday night drinks?
Just drinks? What about dinner and a show first, then some drinks? Tell you what, let's go to that great new show at the Herald Theatre called Thom Pain, I hear it is amazing! Then we can have drinks. In fact I'm pretty sure there is a bar at the theatre.
Where I'll be wearing my new:
New? Are you serious? I was made redundant and now work in the theatre! I haven't bought anything new since the day that Aussie guy canned the show.
And this weekend I'm planning on:
Learning to surf or lying on the couch, I'm not sure which yet.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe:
SPQR. Sure I could lie and say somewhere else but let's be honest, I'll be at SP.
Saturday evening. If my dreams came true there would be a gig by:
Taika Waititi, in drag, performing hits from the Eurythmics accompanied by Noelle McCarthy on keytar ... I like to eat cheese at night so I have pretty strange dreams.
On my stereo/headphones right now is:
This American Life, surely the best podcast ever made ...in fact the only reason podcasts should exist.
The books I can't put down are:
Good ones.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for is:
Masterchef.
The movie I've been dying to see is:
Piranha 3D ...genius.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from:
The Roast Shop on the corner of Jervois and St Mary's Rd. Most places don't give you crackling if you don't buy pork, but they do.
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be:
Prego for the saltimbocca.
* Oliver Driver performs in Thom Pain (based on nothing) at the Herald Theatre from September 24 until October 16.
