Friday night drinks? Meet me at: The Wunderbar in Lyttelton. I drive down from Auckland every Thursday evening, sticking pretty much to State Highway 1 the whole way. If you wait on the roadside with a cardboard sign saying "Wundy - Puffin", I'll pick you up en route, and I'll drop you back home just in time for work on Monday morning.
Where I'll be wearing my new: Che Guevara T-shirt that I bought from The Onion website. It has a picture of Che wearing the iconic Che T-shirt on the front and is guaranteed to start an argument.
And this weekend I'm planning on: Hitting the streets with a petition to force the Government to remove the GST on food and children's clothing.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe: Which is usually found between Julie Croft's awesome Jams & Spreads stall and the Bridge Street Bakehouse pie cart at the Lyttelton Farmers' Market.
Saturday evening. If my dreams came true there would be a gig by: Talking Heads with Wilco and Lawrence Arabia playing support at the Little Theatre in Picton.
But if there's nothing else doing I'll probably just: Light the fire, invite a few friends over, break out the precious single malt and sing ourselves hoarse.
On my stereo/headphones right now is: Andrew Keoghan's incredible (and as yet unreleased) new album Arctic Tales Divide.
The books I can't put down are: Status Anxiety by Alain de Botton, I Hate Myself & Want To Die - The 52 Most Depressing Songs of All Time by Tom Reynolds, and Stray Thoughts and Nosebleeds by Duncan Sarkies.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for: The Wire. Actually we don't have a cumbersome TV in our house. I think they're a thing of the past. I download movies and TV series and watch them on the laptop in bed.
The movie I've been dying to see: Another late-night screening of Boy.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from: The Mt Eden Deli. Their family sized smoked fish pie and large salad combo is simply unbeatable.
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be: Satchmo's Pizza in Lyttelton. Besides the great food and beer selection, I've always been a sucker for unpretentious friendly staff that let their cat sit on your knee and ask the customers what they'd like to hear on the stereo.
Lindon Puffin interviews Dave Dobbyn about songwriting as part of the 2010 Official Music Month Seminars at Auckland Museum on Saturday from 10am-5pm. It's free with speakers from all areas of the music industry.
My big week: Lindon Puffin
