Actor and K Rd enthusiast, Ian Hughes tells us what his big week would involve.
Friday night drinks? Meet me at:
Home. Put the kids to bed, get pizza from Sal's then sit on the couch and watch something recorded on MySky. Then we'll stay up to watch the Warriors on Prime at midnight. But if I was going to go out, I might go to Coco's Cantina on K Rd.
Where I will be wearing my:
Super cool shirt I got for $14 from the Paper Bag Princess on K Rd.
And this weekend I'm planning on:
Coffee, then hopefully a big run as I'm training for the marathon. Fix the downstairs toilet. Coffee. Son's prizegiving for soccer. Coffee, coffee, coffee.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe:
Alleluya on K Rd.
Saturday evening. If my dreams came true there would be a gig by:
Nick Cave and Lou Reed singing songs by Neil Diamond at the St James.
But if there's nothing else doing I'll probably just:
Stay home and listen to Nick Cave, Lou Reed and Neil Diamond.
On my stereo/headphones right now is:
As it happens, Sid Vicious singing I Did it My Way.
The books I can't put down are:
Sorry, I don't read. I have tried but just can't do it at the moment. I don't think my brain can handle sitting still for so long.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for:
I come and go with TV shows and now we have MySky I don't have to take the phone of the hook - but The Gruen Transfer on Comedy Central and Jon Stewart for my news.
The movie I've been dying to see:
I should say something arty like the Banksy film, but really mean The Expendables. In reality it will probably end up being the fourth chipmunks movie or something.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from:
Sal's Pizza on K Rd or Satya on K Rd.
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be:
We generally spread the love. So Bellota for starters, then DeBrett's for a main, then Mezze Bar for coffee and cake - or Prego for the whole lot.
