A week in the life of the actor.
Friday night drinks?
At Barrio, 44 Ponsonby Rd, the best new bar in Auckland, where I also play records every Friday night. And I get to drink while I do it. Convenient.
Where I'll be wearing my new:
Black Feiyue kicks from Conch.
And this weekend I'm planning on:
Playing records, doing my radio show with my homie Selecta Sam called "The Dose" 12-2 Saturdays on George, then probably drink beers. And visit me mum on Sunday.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe:
Coffee from Bobby at Conch, snacks from 121.
Saturday evening. If my dreams came true there would be a gig by:
A triple-header - Fela Kuti, The Ramones and The Doors live, with an after-party hosted by Afrika Bambaataa and Mr Scruff.
On my stereo/headphones right now is:
New EP from Peruvian/American DJ Lengua - this boy makes the nu-school cumbia that is blowing my mind.
The books I can't put down are:
Siddharta by Hermann Hesse.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for is:
Ain't got no TV. But do like ol' Curb Your Enthusiasm.
The movie I've been dying to see is:
Soul Power.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from:
Satya or Otto Woo
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be:
Rocco's baby!
