Friday night drinks? Meet me at:
The barbecue on my deck. I'll be too tired to go out but I would love to share a wine and we could taste this new icecream I've just made.
Where I'll be wearing my new:
Lava-lava. It's too hot for anything else and it shouldn't be seen in public.
And this weekend I'm planning on:
Performing twice a day at the Civic Theatre in Cinderella.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe:
Pyrenees French Deli in New North Rd. Great cheeses and baguettes.
Saturday evening. If my dreams came true there would be a gig by:
Tony Bennett at Mollies in Herne Bay while drinking No. 1 Family Estate bubbles.
But if there's nothing else doing I'll probably just:
Stay home and watch a DVD and then sleep sleep sleep.
On my stereo/headphones right now is:
Johnny Hartman and John Coltrane. It's a 1963 recording and the sweetest music you could ever hear.
The books I can't put down are:
The orange Penguin series. I've read so many of them lately.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for:
The cricket! Especially the Black Caps. It has all the drama, tears, frustration and romance of a good play only it's twice as long. Maybe not the romance - more a bromance.
The movie I've been dying to see:
The King's Speech with Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from:
Burger Queen in Mt Albert Rd. Simple but always really good value.
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be:
Le Garde-Manger in Upper Queen St.
