Your favourite Big Day Out memory?
The Flaming Lips in 2004, if I had to choose one above all. My favourite show ever. The Stooges in 2006 were pretty amazing too. If it had just been a bit louder I would have exploded with joy.
Playing any other summer music festivals?
BARB [his band with Liam Finn and Connan Mockasin] played Rhythm and Vines.
Are you more the BDO, Winery Tour, Laneway, or Splore type?
This summer I'm more of a Laneway person, for obvious reasons. The line-up's pretty damned excellent, even with yours truly on it.
