It’s NZ Music Month and the Herald has partnered with NZ On Screen to bring you a music video of a classic New Zealand song every day of the month. Today’s flashback is an early electro-pop hit that signalled the talents of producer Alan Jansson long before the days of his worldwide hit with OMC’s How Bizarre.
Today's Music Month Flashback is Pulsing by The Body Electric, a strange but affecting little piece of electro-pop from 1982.
The Body Electric evolved out of Wellington punk band the Steroids, and featured the talents of musician and producer Alan Jansson long before the days of his work on international hit How Bizarre.
The music video for the song was directed by former Radio with Pictures producer, later MTV Europe head Brent Hansen.
