LONDON -Rock bands Muse and Snow Patrol will be two of the headline acts at this year's Isle of Wight festival, organisers said.
The bands will be amongst a host of well-known acts performing at the three-day event, one of the country's biggest music festivals.
"The past year has been truly amazing for us and performing live is what we're all about," Muse, winners of the Best Live Act at the Brit Awards, said in a statement.
"Getting the opportunity to do that at the Isle of Wight Festival is an honour. Some of our biggest heroes played the festival back in the 70's. It's steeped in history and we can't wait to be a part of that."
Other acts scheduled to perform include Kasabian, Keane, The Fratellis, Paolo Nutini and Amy Winehouse.
Tickets for the festival which runs from June 8-10 go on general sale on February 22.
The event, revived in 2002, was originally held from 1968 to 1970 when it hosted acts like The Who, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix.
