More musos are following in Snoop Dogg's footsteps to narrate wildlife documentaries

Remember that time Snoop Dogg narrated a wildlife documentary? Turns out the team at the Discovery Channel liked the idea and they're running with it.

They - and the World Wildlife Fund - have made a six-part series called Hello World! which will document the wonders of the natural world, and will be narrated by musicians.

Christina Aguilera, Usher, Ellie Goulding, Joan Jett, Dave Matthews and Steven Tyler will feature in one episode each, which will be linked to a song of theirs.

Usher's episode will feature his song Stronger, as he examines the resilience in certain animals. While Christina Aguilera's episode will showcase animals which are maternal caregivers, set to her song Light Up the Sky.

Ellie Goulding's episode looks at mating, featuring her song Something in the Way You Move. And Dave Matthews' follows animals on the search for fresh water, featuring his song Save Me.

Steven Tyler's Red, White and You provides the soundtrack to the Summer Wild episode, which follows all-American animals on their summer vacation.

And rather fittingly, Joan Jett's Bad Reputation plays for all the animals that get a bad rap in life.
