KEY POINTS:
Kiltmakers have had their work cut out creating an extra-large outfit for Scotland's favourite ogre.
At over 2m tall and with an even wider girth, weavers needed 9m of cloth to make the traditional costume for film star Shrek.
The loveable ogre, voiced by Mike Myers, was presented with the kilt ahead of the British premiere of Shrek The Third.
The outfit was a gift from Scottish tourism bosses who decided to create a special tartan to honour the character.
