Constant repetitions of: "Concentrate on your job", "Get on with it" and "Drasko it's fine, please just leave it", littered Bianca's conversation behind the scenes.
It didn't appear to affect their performance however, and they finished the evening with a solid total score of 70 out of 110.
The bride-and-groom-to-be started out on the wrong foot after having difficulty sourcing some of the specific produce such as Asian green mangoes, fresh venison and organic milk needed for their technically challenging menu.
The delay ate into their preparation time and they started cooking almost two hours behind schedule.
Their limited time frame didn't slow down their progress however, and the couple were well composed when they welcomed the new contestants into their vineyard-themed dinner party.
Among the group were blonde bombshell butchers Nikki and Katie who immediately took a dislike to fellow all-female team Jane and Emma.
"We do not like that there's another girl group, especially when there's a hot male at the table," Nikki said with a look of disdain.
"We're going to have to take them down."
The "hot male" in question was British born investment banker Steve and he had the mean girls twirling their hair and licking their lips all night long.
His partner and former workmate Will didn't get as much love, with South African contestant Lynn asking if he was Steve's father - despite being only five years older than his cooking teammate.
"I'm younger than he is!" the NSW resident, 36, joked, "That's so out of order! Do I really look that old?"
Their first offering, an entree of BBQ marron with Thai green mango salad saw them applauded for their 'perfectly cooked' shellfish and elegant presentation.
A strong dressing to their salad overpowered the dish however, with Colin saying: "I could taste more of the salad than I could the marron.
"It's such a luxurious ingredient [and] I thought your salad just gave it a punch."
He also penalised the pair for under seasoning the dish with much of his rather harsh five out of ten score coming down to it being "so lacking on salt."
Drasko and Bianca weren't about to make the same mistake twice and carefully seasoned their venison with celeriac puree and witlof salad main.
With the threat of a bad review from Colin if the meat was anything but melt in your mouth tender, they were relieved to receive a positive response.
"The venison is this cooked perfect for me," he said, adding only that their accompanying porcini sauce was "wishy washy".
Bianca rounded out the night with a dessert of her own creation, sour apple parfait with apple marshmallow and salted peanut shards.
The balance of sweet and sour largely impressed the table and secured them a score of seven out of ten from Colin, who only complained about the homemade marshmallow being underdone.
A lot was at stake for the couple who have put their professional and romantic lives on hold to participate.
"We've both quit our jobs, we've postponed our wedding... There's a lot riding on this," Bianca confessed.
But they should make waves in the group if their opening night offering is anything to go by.
