Every summer for the past 10 years, a group of 13-25-year-olds from refugee and migrant backgrounds has been invited to The Auckland Performing Arts Centre in Western Springs to participate in a festival which reflects the city's dynamic multicultural mix.
Called Mixit, it's designed so these youngsters can make Auckland feel more like home.
This year, Mixit turns 10 and has marked the milestone with a mini-festival of world picnics, songs, storytelling, games and a whole lot of laughter.
In Focus: A photographic retrospective celebrates the colourful world of Mixers in action during the past 10 years.
With Mixit's permission, we've reproduced some of the most vibrant pictures taken during the past decade.
