Miranda Kerr names new baby Myles

Miranda Kerr and her billionaire Snapchat boss husband Evan Spiegel have announced they've named their new baby son Myles.

The supermodel, 36, and her husband, 29, said in a statement to People: "We are overjoyed at the arrival of Myles and so appreciate everyone's kind words and wishes during this special time. We couldn't be more excited to welcome our beautiful son into our family."

Kerr and Spiegel first confirmed they were expecting a second child together in March, telling The Daily Telegraph they were "looking forward to welcoming the newest member to their family".

Kerr and Spiegel knew the sex of their baby prior to his arrival, but chose to keep it a secret.

"Yes, we know the sex and we have names," she previously said.

"But it's nice to keep a little to yourself."

Kerr reportedly gave birth to Myles early last week.

As her pregnancy progressed, Kerr shared several shots of her growing baby bump on Instagram, including this photo of her in a sunflower field in August.

The 36-year-old supermodel has one-year-old son Hart with Spiegel and eight-year-old son Flynn from her first marriage to actor Orlando Bloom, which ended in 2013.

Kerr and Spiegel, who is estimated to be worth $2.4 billion, met at a Louis Vuitton dinner party in New York in 2015.

They became engaged after 12 months of dating, with Kerr revealing the couple did not believe in sex before marriage.

In an interview with UK newspaper The Times ahead of their wedding, Kerr suggested the couple were sticking to tradition after being asked about having a baby.

"Not yet. Not until after we get married. My partner is very traditional," she said.

When asked if that meant the pair were waiting to have sex, Kerr replied: "We can't … I mean we're just … waiting."

Spiegel and Kerr married in May 2017 in the backyard of their Los Angeles mansion, with the supermodel wearing a stunning Grace Kelly-inspired dress by Christian Dior.

Kerr was previously the face of David Jones and became the first Australian model to walk in the Victoria's Secret fashion show.

In recent years her focus has turned to business, with Kerr launching skincare line Kora Organics in 2009.
