Sir Mick Jagger has revealed the real reason why he will never write his memoirs - he finds it "depressing and boring" to revisit his past.
The Rolling Stones star is frequently pestered by publishers to pen his life story, and their requests have snowballed since his bandmate Keith Richards released his critically-acclaimed autobiography Life in 2010.
Jagger aborted a previous attempt to write a book in the 1980s and former Stones bassist Bill Wyman alleged earlier in 2013 it was because he had denied the singer access to his personal archives, but now Jagger has opened up about the reasons behind his reluctance to tell all.
"I still won't do it. And I've been asked again recently. I did it for the money in the 80s or early 90s. I started writing it but it was so depressing and boooring (sic) having to scrape over your past," he told rock magazine Q.
"They wanted me to talk about people close to me and divulge all these secrets. I realised I didn't want to do that. So I stopped and gave all the money back."
