Kiwi actress Michelle Ang has earned an Emmy nod for her performance in a web series based on hit zombie show The Walking Dead.

Ang, who has starred in Xena and Outrageous Fortune, was named in the Emmy shortlist for best actress in a short form comedy or drama series.

She is up against Patrika Darbo for Acting Dead, Erinn Hayes for Childrens Hospital, Janet Varney for Everyone's Crazy But Us and Tracie Thoms for Send Me.

Ang received the nomination for her role in Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462, a 16-part series of short web clips.

She also had a bit part in Fear The Walking Dead's second season, which is led by another Kiwi actor, Cliff Curtis.
