The ever-charming British TV star Sir Michael Parkinson will be gracing the Vector Arena come February 15, along with our acclaimed Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra to present an evening of iconic music from the silver screen.
It will be a glamorous trip down memory lane as the APO perform the works of film composers such as John Williams, Lalo Schifrin and Henry Mancini, accompanied by stories from Parkinson about the stars of classic films such as Casablanca, Ben-Hur, The Magnificent Seven, Mission Impossible, The Godfather and many more.
Parkinson's eponymous chat show (which began in 1971 and ran for more than 20 years) has seen the TV legend interview more than 3000 celebrities, and he'll undoubtedly have some entertaining recollections to share.
Tickets on sale Wednesday September 28 through Ticketmaster.
