Michael Jackson honoured on anniversary

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has paid tribute to her father on the third anniversary of his death.

"RIP Michael Jackson ... Dad you will forever be in my heart... i love you,'' the 14-year-old tweeted.

The King of Pop died on June 25, 2009 after his physician Dr Conrad Murray administered a fatal dose of the anaesthetic Propofol to help him sleep. Murray was sentenced to four years' jail last year.

Jackson's sister La Toya also took to Twitter to mark the anniversary and reiterate her claims that the greed of those surrounding the star led to his demise.

"3 years ago today it saddens me to know we lost a legendary artist. Greed & only Greed was the cause of his death. Michael We Love You!" La Toya Jackson's first posting read.

She later followed up with: "Sad Morning All... This Day was the day that lead to the demise of my little brother. 'Michael We Love' May you RIP. Gone FAR To (sic) Soon.''

Rapper Wiz Khalifa also marked the anniversary, writing: "3 years ago today the world lost a legend. RIP Michael Jackson. Your music lives on for you.

"Thank you for everything!"

British pop star Alexandra Burke added her own tribute: "RIP to the King. MJ. We miss you, We love you and your music will forever live on. We love you MICHAEL!!!!"
