Metallica concerts sold out

Both of Metallica's Auckland concerts have sold out this morning after just 20 minutes, leaving many die-hard fans disappointed.

The American heavy metal band announced a second Auckland show earlier this week due to high demand.

Tickets went on sale at 9am this morning and both October 13 and 14 at the Vector Arena have sold out.

Many Trade Me users have already set up accounts "desperately seeking tickets" to the sold out shows.

The concerts will feature material from Metallica's long career. Metallica last performed in New Zealand at the Big Day Out in 2004.
