KEY POINTS:
John Mellencamp has been confirmed as the artist for the 2008 Mission Estate Concert.
He will rock the Mission Vineyards on the outskirts of Napier on March 1.
The 55-year-old is best known for singles Hurts So Good and Jack and Diane. Hurts So Good spent 16 weeks in the Top Ten - more than any other single in the 1980s.
Tickets to the Mission Estate Concert went on sale at midday, the cheapest being general admission at $99.
