UPDATED: Mel Gibson'

Rumours have been rife for weeks that the Russian singer, 39, is carrying the

. And now an inside source tells gossip website

that Grigorieva is in the second trimester of her pregnancy.

Oh baby!

Mel has reportedly already broken the news to his estranged wife of 28 years, Robyn, (*we'd have paid money to be a fly on the wall during that confab), who filed for divorce on April 13, citing irreconcilable differences.

Gibson made his romance with Grigorieva public after parading her down the red carpet of the

X-Men

premiere in Los Angeles last month.

The loverbirds, who hooked up on a film set in Costa Rica last year, are said to be besotted with each other.

The Gibsons have seven kids together, and Grigorieva also has a child from a previous relationship with former James Bond star

The

star's divorce is shaping up to be one of the most expensive in Hollywood history. Robyn could be entitled, according to Californian law, to half of his estimated $900 million fortune.

No comment as yet from Gibson's rep about the pregnancy reports.

The heirhead, currently in Cannes promoting her fly-on-the-wall doco,

Talking about the sex vid, she said: "When I heard about it I thought: 'Yeah right. It's going to be a look-a-like. It's going to be a joke.

"But a couple of hours later it was all over online and then I saw it.

"It's the most intimate thing you can do and the whole f****** world is watching it and laughing at you.

"That's not what I wanted when I was a little girl. It's not what I planned. I always looked up to people like Princess Diana and now I can never be like that.?"

The socialite's doco explores her inner-sanctum and promises to unveil the little girl lost in the storm that truly exists underneath that patrician mien.

She adds: "People see me as a Barbie with a perfect life, a fantasy... maybe that's what they like."

"There's a mystery about me because how I am in public is completely different to how I am in private."

Hilton wanted to be like Di? The English rose, our Queen of Hearts who inspired us with her effortless elegance and philanthropy?

Pull the other one, it's got 'I'm famous for a sex tape, freaky size 11 feet, a DUI, jail time, oodles of cash, privileged lifestyle and need to get over it dot com' written all over it.

Seriously, every yarn about Hilton these days feels like a trip to idiot island...
