KEY POINTS:
Dancing with the Stars contestant Megan Alatini may be flying high on the shoulders of dance partner Jonny Williams, but whether she can maintain such giddy heights will be decided in tomorrow's grand final.
Megan and Jonny have been practising hard for the final, which will also reunite contestants dumped from the show in earlier weeks.
The pair will perform a quick-step, rumba and "free-style" dance, during which Megan will spend a decent amount of time in mid-air, insiders say.
Co-host Candy Lane's dance troupe will perform during the show while host Jason Gunn and judge Craig Revell-Horwood will sing.
Candy and judge Brendan Cole will perform a jive.
A TVNZ spokesman said Megan and Jonny were "very, very calm" over the weekend. Megan spent time yesterday mapping out her dance on the studio floor.
Her opponents, Suzanne Paul and partner Stefano Olivieri, are, too, understood to have spent much of the weekend practising.
It would be nice to see the former contestants dance, without the strain of competition, the spokesman said. "Everyone is pleased to be back. There's not that horrible competitive feeling in the air."
