Meet Germany's No. 1 football fan: Rihanna

She's played to stadium crowds, has had No. 1 hits worldwide and yet Rihanna has decided Germany's World Cup win has been the "most epic" experience of her life.

The pop star, who hails from Barbados, inexplicably backed the Germans in the final against Argentina, declaring her allegiance on her Twitter page.

The first inkling of her German fan-girl status came in a provocative photo which Rihanna posted featuring her wearing a German flag swimsuit, with a small German flag painted on her cheek. She was super-imposed kneeling on a football pitch.

She captioned the photo "For my German boys".

The series of tweets that followed included shout-outs to German players Miroslav Klose and Thomas Muller.

And then with a certain clairvoyance, she tweeted "Super mario baby" about German player Mario Goetze. Just one hour later her "super Mario" managed to score the only goal in the match for his German team.

The pop star celebrated the win with trademark Rihanna-exuberance by lifting up her top at her seat in the crowded Brazilian stadium and flashing her black bra towards the pitch.

"congrats to my German boyz! This was the most epic experience of my entire life! You guys made me so proud to be here," Rihanna tweeted alongside a picture of the team gathered on the pitch for their winning photo.

And just to prove her flashing antics were par for the course, she then posted a series of pictures of people in the stands lifting up their tops.

No doubt Rihanna's next hit song will be her own version of Deutschland Uber Alles, sooner than you can say bandwagon.
