Max Key's first single as a professional DJ has reached a major milestone - topping Spotify.
Prime Minister John Key's son took to social media to celebrate the success of his song Forget You, which some have suggested is a reference to Amelia Finlayson, the girlfriend he split from at the beginning of the year.
The house-inspired dance track is available to stream through Spotify, or to purchase on iTunes for $2.39.
It was launched during his first-ever radio slot on Tuesday last week, before being released to the public in its entirety on Thursday.
Writing on Facebook, Max Key thanked his followers for their support and asked them to listen and share the single.
"Today is finally the day. I'd like to give a massive Thank you firstly for all the love and support I've received over the last few weeks! All the kind messages and words have really been a driving force and motivation to get this done, and they all mean a lot to me," he wrote.
"The track is now live ... I'd love you all to give it a listen."
