It's a great time to have eyes. If yours work, you should be stoked. Three weeks ago I started writing lists about positive things as reaction to all the hissy fit negativity in the media. Also because I'm on holiday on the Gold Coast with my kids and lists are easier to construct at the beach than proper columns.
Today I want to talk about some great things to look at. Westworld Season 2, the horror movie A Quiet Place and fat Australians at theme parks.
Westworld Season 1 ended well over a year ago. Season 2 is out today on Soho and Neon. Exciting. If you haven't seen the first series. I suggest blasting through the whole 10 episodes as quick as you can. If you did see it, I suggest watching one of the short YouTube recaps. I watched one this morning. Turns out as much as I loved the show I hadn't really understood what was going on.
For those of you who haven't heard of it. Westworld the HBO TV show is based on the 1973 film written and directed by Michael Crichton, the dude who wrote Jurassic Park. Westworld is a theme park gone wrong scenario too but with robots instead of dinosaurs.
There was also the 1976 theme park goes wrong film Futureworld featuring Spaworld, Medievalworld and Romanworld. Crichton was not involved in those. He also had nothing to do with Dreamworld or Movieworld on the Goldie.
