Star Wars actor Mark Hamill has tweeted his apparent approval of comedienne Amy Schumer's controversial GQ cover, in which she irreverently sucks robot C-3PO's finger while dressed as Princess Leia.
The Trainwreck star's provocative magazine spread has irked many Star Wars purists - in another picture she shares a post-coitalcigarette with C-3PO and R2-D2, and dances with Stormtroopers in another.
Officials at Lucasfilm, the company behind the cult sci-fi movie, have revealed they did did not "condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner."

However, Luke Skywalker himself appears to approve of Schumer's quirky shoot, tweeting, "Got excited when I saw @amyschumer @GQMagazine pics & thought she was just cast in Ep 8 (Episode 8)! We should be so lucky."
