Mariah Carey wants $70m and ring for breakup

Mariah Carey cancelled part of her tour after her breakup.

She's already been told she can keep the US$10 million ($14m) engagement ring.

But last night it was claimed that Mariah Carey also wants a US$50m ($70m) payoff from her fiance for calling off their marriage.

The singer famed for her diva tendencies is said to think casino tycoon James Packer, 48, owes her for uprooting her two children from New York to Los Angeles, so he could be near his own children.

Celebrity website TMZ also alleges Packer made financial promises to Carey, 46, which she wants him to fulfil. There is also the cancellation of part of her tour, which Carey's camp blame on the trauma of a "dramatic fight" which ended their relationship.

The claims came as Carey threw a dinner party in Malibu, wearing a lacy cleavage-baring crop top - and invited a man who apparently made her ex-lover jealous.

It was claimed that the singer and Packer had split because of a row over Carey's extravagant spending. Yesterday it was said they had also fallen out over the star's backing dancer Bryan Tanaka, who Packer was allegedly "jealous" of.

Tanaka joined Carey at the dinner on Thursday.

Carey's spokesman revealed the couple's engagement unravelled on a yacht in Greece in September. The spokesman said: "Mariah and James had a fight - and have not seen each other since. The fight was not because of any cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah."
