According to TMZ, Valle did not know how to swim and his body was discovered when the caretaker and some friends returned to the property after going out briefly.
Law enforcement sources told the website: "The man who died did not know how to swim and it appears he slipped and fell in the pool."
Some news reports suggested alcohol and drug use may have been a factor in his death, which Flores has denied as a possibility.
"Everyone is saying alcohol was a factor, or he took drugs, but the truth is he didn't ever drink, and didn't take drugs," she told the Daily Mail.
She said even Valle's father had believed his son had been drinking after reading early reports.
"His dad has been very angry, he believes that Edenilson was drinking, but that simply wasn't true. He never touched alcohol,' she explained.
"There's been a lot of misreporting on that, but alcohol wasn't the factor at all and it's a terrible thing to say about him because he wasn't like that."
Demi Moore has released a statement saying she was devastated by the tragedy at her home.
"I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news," she said.
"The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man's family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time."
It is believed that authorities are still investigating but are likely to rule out foul play.
