Demi Lovato's drug dealer has claimed she knew what she was ingesting and the risks she was taking on the night she overdosed.
Brandon Johnson alleged that the embattled singer texted him at 4am to ask him to come over, which he took as a request to bring narcotics, leading to his claims that they then smoked - also known as 'freebasing' - drugs together.
Among the astoundingly bold allegations, he insinuated the two of them did drugs together many times before and even had a "sexual relationship", according to the Daily Mail.
(Sources dismissed his claim of a sexual relationship to TMZ.)
Brandon, who was arrested twice by the LAPD before her near-fatal overdose, said Demi knew she was taking non-pharmaceutical drugs although he insists he had no knowledge that they were laced with anything else.
He is said to have got pills from Mexico, which were reportedly laced with fentanyl which is described as "is an opioid used as a pain medication and together with other medications for anesthesia". He claims to have left at 7-8am.
MailOnline have contacted Demi Lovato's rep for comment.
Earlier this month, Brandon was arrested in March, after he was discovered with narcotic substances, US$10,000 worth of cash and even a loaded handgun on his person. Following up with a raid of his Hollywood home, the police later found an even larger stash of drugs and weapons - although it is not known if he was ever charged. 3
No stranger to the law, the site claims Brandon was also arrested in June for possession of cocaine, as well as driving under the influence of alcohol.
The dealer is thought to have supplied Demi with drugs since April, with some sources claiming they even had a "romantic relationship".
His Instagram is laden with shocking images, as well as shots with a host of famous faces including late rapper XXXTentacion and "Cash Me Outside" girl Danielle Bregoli.
His social media also paid tribute to tragic star Lil Peep last year.
In November 2017, the 21-year-old rapper — real name Gustav Elijah Åhr — died of an accidental overdose, due to the effects of pain medications fentanyl and alprazolam after taking cannabis, cocaine and the painkiller Tramadol.
It was revealed on last week that Demi suffered her near-fatal overdose after smoking Oxycodone possibly laced with fentanyl — the same drug that killed Prince and Lil Peep.
The 25-year-old singer had contacted Brandon via text message in the early hours of July 24 to join her at her Hollywood Hills house, after she attended a party at popular Sunset Strip bar Saddle Ranch.
It was reported that the pair smoked painkiller Oxycodone "on tin foil" at her home and, unbeknown to the star, the batch was likely laced with particularly potent fentanyl as the dealer had a "bad habit of buying [tainted] drugs from Mexico".
The dealer, who Demi is said to have been using the services of since April, allegedly fled the star's house after noticing that she was breathing heavily in bed — leaving her staff to discover her at 11:30 AM.
She is said to have been revived with Narcan before being rush to hospital, where she remained for two weeks as she recovered.
Following music icon Prince's death in April 2016, a toxicology report revealed that he had an "exceedingly high" concentration of the synthetic opioid — which is 50 times more powerful than heroin — in his blood at the time of his passing.
The star, who was 57 when he was found alone and unresponsive in an elevator in his sprawling Paisley Park estate, began taking painkillers after enduring years of pain in his hips, thought to be a result of him performing in heels over the decades.
Following her hospitalisation and subsequent release, Demi cancelled her tour and entered a rehabilitation centre in Chicago in a bid to seek further treatment.
The star "will be in rehab for several months and is doing an extensive program to ensure she gets the help she needs", according to E News.
Demi "hasn't been in communication with anyone and is really focusing on herself," added the source. Even her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama will have limited contact, with the source explaining: "Wilmer has been in touch with the family and has been checking in on Demi's status.
"The family is trying to make sure they eliminate all distractions and want her to be focusing on her health right now."
The pop star was forced to scrap her remaining shows in Mexico and South America as she will be "in treatment for a lengthy period of time" according to TMZ.
Skyscraper hitmaker Demi was scheduled for performances on September 20 and 22 in Mexico. She also called off a six-city tour in Chile, Argentina and Brazil, slated for November.
Live Nation and Lotus Productions "wish Demi Lovato the best now and in the future and we hope to see her soon in South America".
Demi left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, TMZ reported, before taking a private plane to one of the nation's leading addiction facilities, which is outside California.
It is unknown how long she will stay there, but is expected to remain under care for at least 30 days.
