Madonna takes aim at photo thieves

Madonna suspects her fans may have stolen some previously unreleased photos of her.

The singer posted some snaps to her Instagram account from a series of pictures she says she never officially released.

In one, she's standing at a hob boiling a kettle wearing a short black dress, fishnet stockings and a red trilby hat on her head as she looks into the camera over her right shoulder with a smile on her face.

She might look happy in the photo but she doesn't seem pleased the snap is out there.

"Another unreleased photo from a series I have just discovered! Stolen and sold ti whom?? Wtf? Are my fans doing this? If so Im very confused! Stealing is a crime. #karma" she posted alongside the photo.

In a more candid photo, she's pictured in mismatched underwear - white bra and black panties - with curlers in her hair and her eyes closed.

She makes a clear plea alongside this photo to stop people profiting from these photos.

"This is a fitting photo i did not release. I do not make money from the release of any of my photos. But other people do! I am asking my true fans and supporters who respect me as an artist and a human to not get involved with the purchasing trading or posting of unreleased images or music. I hope and pray we find the source of the leaks soon. Until then I am grateful for any leads or info and even more grateful for your support and loyalty! Please let me finish my work so i can give you my very best! #respectartandtheorocess" she posted.

In another picture she sits cross-legged with her shoulders hunched over while wearing a PVC black leotard and explained this picture was from a shoot by photographer Steven Klein that she had never even seen before.

"Thanks for showing me again and again that stealing selling and buying is alive and well in cyberspace! #fearnoevil" she posted.

Fans have hit back at the pop star online saying Madonna should apologise.

"You are looking the photographer in the eye..who is it then? Certainly not us fans," one wrote on Instagram.
