Luke Perry, who currently stars in Riverdale and found fame as Luke McKay in Beverly Hills 90210, has reportedly had a massive stroke.
TMZ reports that paramedics were called to Perry's home in Sherman Oaks, California about 9:40am yesterday and the actor was transported to a local hospital.
"Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital," his publicist said.
The website says it is unclear what condition Perry is in.
The stroke happened on the same day it was announced that the original stars of Beverly Hills 90210 has signed on to do a reboot, however Perry, 52, is not tied to that project.
His former co-stars Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Gabrielle Carteris are all returning.
While he has worked steadily since 90210, he has recently become known to a whole new generation by playing Archie Andrews' dad, Fred, on Riverdale.
Perry is father to two children, 22-year-old Jack, and 18-year-old Sophie, who he shares with his ex-wife Rachel Sharp.
Jack is a professional wrestler known by his ring name "Jungle Boy" Nate Coy.
In 2015, Perry spoke out to urge his fans to test for colon cancer after a colonoscopy revealed that he had precancerous growths.
The growths were removed and Perry became an advocate for getting tested, with the actor previously telling Fox News: "Right now, there are 23 million Americans who haven't been screened who need to be screened.
"If I had waited, it could have been a whole different scenario.
"When I heard that this was the most detectable cancer that we know of yet it's the second most lethal, I just couldn't figure out why that was and I wanted to get out there and tell people about it."
Perry has also starred in Another World, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Fifth Element and Oz.
