Lorde has taken to Twitter to defend the cost of her upcoming Auckland concert, saying it was out of her hands.
The Kiwi pop star was due to headline the Laneway Festival on January 27, but because of a clash with the Grammy awards - for which she has four nominations - she is instead headlining her own all ages concert two days later at the same venue.
Tickets went on sale yesterday for the price of $69 with a $2 booking fee.
Lorde sent out a series of tweets defending the cost, saying "I didn't set the price".
i know the @lanewayfest sideshow is $, i didn't set price. it's because they have to keep the staging onsite & road closed for max boogie
