Lorde and Taylor Swift enjoy each other's company at Malibu.

Kiwi Grammy winner Lorde was snapped in Los Angeles yesterday as she spent the day with new best friend Taylor Swift.

The pair posed on Malibu beach for a photo which the American singer later posted to Twitter with the caption "Bare feet in the sand on a Saturday".

They also ate at the nearby Paradise Cove Beach Cafe, before attending Miley Cyrus' Bangerz Tour concert at the Staples Centre.

The singers waved at paparazzi and spoke to fans who excitedly took to Twitter with their own photos.

Lorde, 17, is in the US ahead of a 16-date tour starting next month.

The Kiwi star angered Swift fans back in October when she said: "Taylor Swift is so flawless, and so unattainable, and I don't think it's breeding anything good in young girls".

But the pair have since become good friends and have been spotted together on a number of occasions, including hanging out together at the Grammy Awards.

Last week they spoke about a possible musical collaboration.
