The location scout for Lord of the Rings has died.
Queenstown man Dave Comer died on Christmas Day after a long battle with a rare form of cancer.
The 58-year-old still photographer was also the director of the Fiordland film Shadowland and worked on the iconic Mainland Cheese commercials.
His funeral will being held on Tuesday afternoon in Paradise, near Glenorchy.
