Lindsay Lohan's nude Playboy shoot was inspired by Marilyn Monroe and is "classy" says Hugh Hefner.
The troubled actress - who was released from jail yesterday after serving just four-and-a half hours of a 30-day sentence - has posed naked for the iconic men's magazine and its founder Hugh Hefner says it pays homage to her idol - who died in August 1962 aged 36 from a suspected drugs overdose.
He told The Insider: "It's a classic tribute inspired by the original Tom Kelly nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe, a portion of which was the original playmate in the very first issue of Playboy."
Hugh also confirmed Lindsay, 25, bared all for the shoot but it was done in a "classy" way.
He said: "Oh, yes, she's naked. And classy, very classy."
The Mean Girls star was paid almost US$1 million to strip off for the publication, but she is due to re-shoot some photos later this week.
