Lohan talks sex as Playboy release date nears

Publishing boss Hugh Hefner is bumping up the release of Lindsay Lohan's sexy Playboy magazine shoot after the full pictorial leaked online weeks before it was due to hit newsstands.

The Mean Girls star, who banked US$1 million for the nude spread, had planned to give fans a sneak peek of the Marilyn Monroe-inspired images during an appearance on America's The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Thursday.

But an unauthorised photo of the highly-anticipated cover shot was posted on the internet - and the complete set of revealing images followed in another unofficial release.

Among the images, Lohan, wearing just a pair of high heels, is shown posing on all fours on a red couch shaped like a pair of lips, while she is also depicted reclining on a bed with her hands on her breasts.

Hefner brushed off the early unveiling, insisting the Lohan issue "is going to be a true Collector's Edition", but now he's taking action to try and combat the potential loss in sales by rush-releasing the January/February edition of the magazine.

"Because of the interest & the internet leak, we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early," he tweeted.

Lohan has spoken candidly about sex in the accompanying interview with Playboy, insisting her confidence comes from learning to love her body.

"Sex and sexuality are a part of nature, and I go along with nature,'' she said.

"I think Marilyn Monroe said that, and I agree with her. Knowing your body and being in touch with your body is important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence. It's a very male-dominated world, so knowing yourself and being comfortable with your body is an important thing for me as a woman. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that's mine.''

The actress, who has been in and out of jail and rehab this year, also comments on her past "mistakes" and reveals she hopes she will be able to move on.

"Ultimately we are each responsible for ourselves and for our actions. Looking back, I probably would have listened to and taken more advice from the people whom I admire and would have followed through with it more," she says.

"My stubbornness at 18 and 19 years old got in the way. During the past five years, I've learned that time flies faster than you think, and because you only live once you have to learn from your mistakes, live your dreams and be accountable.''
